BECOME A SUPPORTER OF THE "PIAZZA CARLO GIULIANI" COMMITTEE

The Piazza Carlo Giuliani Committee is a no-profit organisation whose aims are promoting the protection of civil rights and in particular:

• underlining the importance of respecting every human life, and of those who, like Carlo, only wanted a better world;
  
  

• reaffirming the right, upheld by the Italian Constitution, to express one's opinions freely and to be able to do so by demonstrating in public, without any government being allowed to impede this by using the police forces as an instrument of repression and unforgettable violence;
  
  

• providing information regarding what took place in Genoa in July 2001, denouncing the censorship, the lies and omissions on the part of the official media, to obtain the recognition of the violation of civil rights which occurred, and to obtain truth and justice;
  
  

• incrementing the "Fund in Memory of Carlo Giuliani" to continue and enlarge the international solidarity initiatives we have set up.

The Association thus attempts to promote events and projects in favour of those whose civil rights are denied, both in Italy and abroad. The Piazza Carlo Giuliani Committee also aims at setting up relations with those citizens, associations, movements and political parties across the world who, in different and autonomous ways, further the protection of civil rights and the spread of liberty.
All those who share these aims may, at their request, become members of the Committee.
